Jeep Wrangler running rich and failing emissions, need someone who knows these engines

Took my 2016 Wrangler for its RTA renewal last week and it failed the emissions test with hydrocarbons way above the limit, plus I’ve been smelling fuel from the exhaust for a while now which in hindsight should have been my clue to deal with this sooner. The engine is the 3.6 Pentastar and it’s been running fine otherwise, no rough idle or hesitation, just drinking more fuel than it used to and apparently dumping unburned fuel out the tailpipe. I’ve already replaced the spark plugs and the air filter thinking it would be a simple fix but the problem persists, so now I’m guessing it’s either an oxygen sensor that’s gotten lazy, a fuel injector that’s stuck open, or maybe an issue with the EVAP system. I need someone who can actually diagnose this properly rather than just loading up the parts cannon. Looking to revive Jeep engine performance Al Quoz has a few shops that specialize in Wranglers and I’ve been told Dynostar does proper diagnostics on these Pentastar engines including fuel trim analysis and injector testing. Anyone else with a Wrangler of similar vintage dealt with a rich running condition, what did the diagnosis reveal and was it an expensive fix? Also wondering if the extreme summer temperatures here can cause sensor readings to drift over time, my mechanic friend mentioned that O2 sensors can get sluggish with age and heat exposure without fully failing and throwing a code. Just want to get this sorted before my retest deadline and hopefully not break the bank in the process.
